I picked up my new custom fit orthitics last Saturday. They provide crazy arch support: much higher than any I have ever worn before, because my arches are so damn high. The orthitics raise my feet up and out from their normal, pronated, position. Theoretically they place my feet in an anatomically neutral position than I normally walk/stand in. ( Read more... )

When I tried on the New Balance shoes I had ordered, the right one was a half size too small (my right foot is a half size larger than my left). New Balance does make shoes in half sizes, so they will order a new right shoe in a half size larger. It will be good to have shoes that fit both my feet, but now I have to wait another week.
